COLO SPRGS, CO (Nov 11, 2025) – The U.S. Paralympic Team delivered another strong international performance at the World Shooting Para Sport (WSPS) Al Ain 2025 World Cup, held at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates from October 25 to November 5, 2025. Nine athletes represented Team USA, two in pistol and seven in air rifle and smallbore events, earning a total of four medals, one gold, one silver, and two bronze, along with multiple top eight finishes underscoring the team’s growing depth and competitive edge on the world stage

Gold for Almlie-Ryan and Hays in Mixed Team Air Rifle

The pair of Jazmin Almlie-Ryan and Ben Hays struck gold in the R11 Mixed Team 10m Air Rifle Standing SH2 event, edging out the United Arab Emirates in a thrilling 16–14 final. The duo’s precision and calm execution under pressure secured the top spot for Team USA in one of the most competitive matches of the competition.

Silver in 50m Rifle Prone SH1 Team

In the R6 Mixed 50m Rifle Prone SH1 Team event, Steven Hutchcraft, Landon Ruggera, and Zach Jackson claimed silver with a total team score of 1825.1, finishing just behind Thailand’s 1827.6. The U.S. shooters delivered strong performances throughout the match, maintaining focus and discipline against tough competition.

Bronze for Ruggera in Individual 50m Rifle Prone

Landon Ruggera added another medal to Team USA’s total, earning bronze in the R6 Mixed 50m Rifle Prone SH1 individual event. Ruggera shot a 225.4 in the finals, placing third behind Spain’s Juan Saavedra Reinaldo (silver, 248.4) and Thailand’s Atidet Intanon (gold, 250). Ruggera’s determination and precision helped him secure the only individual medal for team USA.

Bronze in 10m Air Rifle Prone SH2 Team

The R5 Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone SH2 Team, comprised of Jadon Nafziger, Ben Hays, and Jazmin Almlie-Ryan, clinched bronze with a team score of 1893.5. The U.S. trio finished behind Thailand (1904.4) and China (1901.9) after six series of steady performance.

Top-Eight Finishes for Team USA

Zach Jackson finished 5th in the R7 Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions SH1, qualifying 8th (564-12x) and improving in the finals to a 415.7.

Taylor Farmer placed 8th in the R8 Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions SH1, qualifying 8th (561-16x) and finishing with 389.5 in the final.

Landon Ruggera earned 7th in R3 Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone SH1, qualifying 2nd (634.5) and finishing with 145.4 in the final.

Team USA Builds Momentum Toward LA28

The strong results in Al Ain demonstrate the U.S. Paralympic Team’s continued progress as it prepares for the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. The athletes’ consistent performances across both rifle and pistol disciplines highlight the depth of talent, consistency of training, and focus on long-term excellence.
